Prof. Faheem Uddin, Iqra University, Pakistan
He graduated in applied chemistry with specialization in textile- polymer technology from University of Karachi, and received Ph.D. in textile special finishing effects from University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. His current research interests are in the processing of fiber, textiles, clay composite; flame retardancy, cellulose/cotton cross-linking; and environment- friendly processing are of particular interest. He is Fellow of The Textile Institute, United Kingdom, received the Best Research Paper Award by HEC, Pakistan, and the Research Productivity Award, PSF, Pakistan, and RULA Best Researcher of The Year 2019. He is the principal author in all of his peer- reviewed research publications ranging over 40, and presented research at several international conferences. He is a member of several editorial boards of research journals and currently a Professor, AIFD, Iqra University, Karachi. Previously he served as associate professor and Secretary Advanced Study and Research Board at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, and as Professor at BUITEMS, Quetta.
Prof. María José Lavorante, Institution of Scientific and Technological Research for Defense, Argentina
Maria José Lavorante is the Director of Research and Development Division of Renewable Energy at the Institution of Scientific and Technological Research for Defense (CITEDEF), Argentina. She is Head Professor at the Engineer Faculty of the Defense University, in charge of the subjects Organic Chemistry, Organic Synthesis and Solids and Colloidal Chemistry. Prof. Lavorante is a member of the Argentina Chemistry Association and the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences. Dr. Liviu Popa-Simil, LAAS - Los Alamos Academy of Sciences, USA
Dr. Liviu Popa-Simil, is the Executive Director of LAAS - Los Alamos Academy of Sciences, which strives to serve the public good by promoting science and innovation and the president of LAVM LLC, a private company developing nano-nuclear materials and THz applications as security systems. He is a nuclear engineer physicist, graduating from the Nuclear Engineering Faculty in Bucharest, Romania, specialized in Fast Breeder Reactors Physics and Engineering, and with dissertation work in Laser-Plasma Jet Nuclear Materials Enrichments. Since 2002, he has worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory, developing Real Time Radiography methods, and then, developed advanced nuclear fuel cycle as part of AFCI program, previously being a senior researcher, program manager at NIPNE-HH, in Bucharest Romania, specialized in accelerator applications and nuclear materials.
Dr. Guohua Xie, Wuhan University, China
Dr. Guohua Xie obtained his Ph.D. degree from Jilin University (China) in 2011, investigating active matrix organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and demonstrating the first prototype of QVGA OLED microdisplay in China. From August 2011, Dr. Xie carried out his postdoctoral research simultaneously at TU Dresden and Fraunhofer IPMS (Germany), sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. From 2013 to 2015, Dr. Xie worked for an interdisciplinary project at the Organic Semiconductor Center of the University of St Andrews. Since January 2015, he has served as an associate professor at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Wuhan University (China). Dr. Xie gained extensive experience in the interdisciplinary research of organic optoelectronic materials and devices. He has coauthored over 180 peer-reviewed publications. In 2020, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
